The G-20 Song website consists in the real-time transposition of the G-20 countries’ stock market indices (and their associated average) into sound frequencies. These countries represent 85% of global economic trade. The user can choose to listen to the individual sound transposition of one of the G-20 country indices, or to all of them at the same time. The software localizes the user, and if she/he is in one of the G-20 countries, the website automatically plays the sound frequency associated to that country’s index. For example, if the user is in Berlin, the sound transposition of the DAX index automatically starts when she/he connects to the website; if she/he is in Kyoto, it will be the Nikkei 225 index, and so forth. It is then possible to clic on the other indices to listen to them, or to clic on “all” to listen to all of them simultaneously. If the user is not located in any of the G-20 countries, when she/he connects to the website, it automatically plays all of the sound frequencies, by default.

Le site internet G-20 Song consiste à transposer en temps réel le cours des indices boursiers des pays du G-20 en fréquences sonores – pays qui regroupent à eux seuls plus de 85% des échanges économiques mondiaux. L’internaute peut choisir d’écouter la transposition en fréquence sonore soit de l’indice de tel ou tel pays du G-20, soit de l’ensemble des 20 pays simultanément. Le logiciel identifie la localisation de l’internaute et si celui-ci se trouve dans l’un des 20 pays du G-20, le site joue directement, comme premier choix d’écoute par défaut, l’indice du pays où se trouve l’internaute. Par exemple si l’internaute se trouve à Berlin, la transposition en fréquences sonores du DAX se met en marche automatiquement lors de la connexion ; s’il se trouve à Kyoto, c’est le Nikkei 225, etc. Il est possible ensuite de cliquer sur les autres indices proposés pour les écouter, ou de cliquer sur « all » pour écouter simultanément l’ensemble des indices du G-20. Si l’internaute se trouve dans un autre pays que ceux constituant le G-20, c’est alors l’option « all » qui est jouée par défaut lors de la connexion.
